A big snowstorm hit Denver yesterday (8:30am church was canceled), so we took advantage of the six-foot drifts created after three rounds of shoveling. Ella had never been sledding before -- I started her out on the three-foot snow-hill and she quickly asked to try the taller drift that climbed halfway up the basketball hoop.
Pushing her down the hill, I slipped and lost sight of her. As I regained my footing, I stood up to hear, "That was AWESOME!" She made a few more runs as the snow continued falling and dinner arrived (so many great friends and neighbors looking after us this week).
Before a late night airport run to pick up Kit, Mike and I spent an hour in the backyard shoveling a sledding hill with three runs that the kids could play on. Here's this morning's fun:
